This, my friends, is our vegetable garden!
Never have I ever planted my own garden before, or even knew how to nurture it so that it would grow! But, I must have done something right because boy did it grow! I took this picture about a week ago so the garden isn't quite this pretty anymore but we got our fair share out of it.

This is how over flowing our hugest bowl was of green beans! I think we could handle it if this was all that our precious garden gave us. But nope, this is the second huge, overflowing bowl of green beans we've gotten!
I just had to take a picture looking down at our bowl so you can get an idea of how big this bowl really is. Think of a big beach ball and now imagine it full of green beans. That's roughly the size.
Needless to say I am so thrilled that I've been able to learn a skill that I could likely take with me everywhere I go! Plus, After the hours spent washing, cutting, boiling, and blanching, I've now got a freezer full of green beans! Seriously, we froze 10+ freezer bags of very generous portion sizes.
Send me a shout if you love green beans as much as I do and I'll be more than happy to share!
Project Vegetable Garden 2012 = Success!
YYYYUUUUMMMM green beans steamed are my favourite. With just a little butter and herbamare salt!!!! We had a few pickings to enjoy from our garden too but nothing near the size of your bowls. HOw fun ....happy harvesting!!!
