Next, we got in line to take our ride on Disney little version of an African Safari. Now, we weren't in Africa or anything but this was a pretty good start! We got to see so many animals. I'd be amazed if I remembered them all..
This is the black rhino. I like to think we caught his better side in this picture! Hah!
These hippos were very tricky to get a photo of. Between peoples heads getting in the way, trees, and other different things, this was one of the better shots.
On the topic of tricky, this was also one of the better shots of the alligators.
Just some types of antelopes grazing by termite mounds. The one below reminds me of an old, saggy skinned dog.
I think this animal was one of Dale's favorites. I don't think the picture does this animal justice. It was huge! We had got so close, I got a little nervous that it might come at us.
And then, we got to see giraffe's!!!! I got to take these pictures mainly because they were on my side of the car, but it made me so happy!
Haha one of the only times you might get to see a 2-headed giraffe.
Of course there were elephants, big and small (Even the small ones were pretty big!) And even a blurry picture of flamingos.
Now this, is not a picture of the black rhino. This is a picture of a white rhino. Scroll back up, look at the two different rhinos and see if you can spot the difference. Gotcha! There is no visible difference. The reason the white rhino got it's name, is because the people who came to the land couldn't understand the native name for the rhino. Turns out the native name sounded an awful lot like the word "white" and so, that is how this rhino got it's name. (Just a little educational tip for you)
I got a couple cool action shots of the lion. The top one is a great big yawn, and I like to think of the bottom one as an inspirational photo. Make's you think that there is something off in the distance worth pondering.
Last we got to see some ostriches. Male and female. Although the female picture didn't really turn out all that great. Moving trucks are hard to take pictures out of. It was such an awesome experience. I hope that someday I'll be able to go and experience the trip in all it's glory. Awesome. So, after the ride we tried to run and hurry to get to the only showing of The Lion King show. Sadly, when we got to the door, they were all closed. Luckily, we ran into the most amazing worker who told us that the show had only just closed the door and she said she would get us in! We quietly got to the two first open seat we saw and enjoyed the show!
These are some of Timon's fellow mere-cats. They were quite acrobatic!
This is a little harder to see, but the guy is twirling fire, stepping on fire, and even eating fire! Definitely cool.
This lady was hooked up to a wire and would get pulled into the air and spin and twist all over the crowd.
This was at the ending when they did their big finale song and got everyone singing and interacting with them. It was cool to see a live version of such a great movie from my childhood. I think I would really like broadway! Haha
Don't be surprised if you see these pictures on our next christmas cards...
My friends, welcome to Hollywood Studios!
This was one of the rides that Dale went on. There weren't a whole lot of rides for him to go on, but he really liked this one. He mentioned something like going from zero to sixty in thirty seconds!
I just loved the fact that I was at Disney World! Woohoo! I did buy a soft-pretzel in Hollywood studios but I don't think it was all that soft. It really didn't taste very good either. I wasn't really impressed.
Haha I wasn't angry in this picture, I promise. I got a little side tracked.
Most of the rides were all closed by the time we were walking around. This was a over-sized play park based on Honey I shrunk the kids. I wish we could have gotten in to see.
Dale and I have a certain little nephew who happens to really like Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater. So we waited till most of the people had cleared so that we could get this picture for him!
I think this is a good resting point to get ready for Day Six! Part (c). Sit tight!
What happened to the rest of it? You said sit tight for part c and it's been a month! :) Haha but it looks like a fun trip!
