7 months old!

My little baby isn't so much of a little baby anymore! He's sitting up all by himself, he's getting awesome at his balancing when he reaches for things beside him, and he loves exploring!

When Tommy and I are playing on the floor he'll often forget about his toys, reach over and grab onto me, and pull himself into a standing position so that he can propel himself off in some other direction. Yup, his new thing is to fling himself into different directions and 99% of the time he lands on his face. When he's sitting on his bum, he bends his whole body in half, reaches his arms out as far as he can, and then pushes with his back legs. I figure he'll learn to stop doing it once he realizes it hurts him.

He is in love with this particular laundry basket. Laundry is quite a chore in this house. Not only because it's laundry, but because any time this basket is in site of Thomas, he has to be touching it in some way which leads to him grabbing it and pulling it over. So, I use a different basket now so that Thomas can play inside while I fold. Dale also puts the basket over top of Tommy's head sometimes and uses the "interaction holes" to keep Thomas entertained. Small and simple things keep this boy entertained for hours!

Now, I would like to introduce you all to a very special someone in Tommy's life; His lovie.

Everyone, this is Tommy's Velveteen rabbit! Tommy had been flirting with quite a few different companions but finally settled into a relationship with this super soft, long eared love over the holidays. It is so cute to watch Tommy lay down at nap time or bed time and reach over to grab the bunny and bring his furry ears up to his face for a goodnight rub. Often when I go check on Thomas he'll have his bunny snuggled up in his arms while he's sleeping. It melts my heart. I have a feeling these two will be friends to the end.

Thomas have immensely increased his food pallet this past month. He now eats (or should I say devours...) fork smashed potatoes, carrots, and green beans, whole peas, pears like it's going out of style, yogurt, baby rice crackers, and basically anything that's on my plate that I'll let him have.

Tommy is starting to get a little bit of an attitude... He know thinks that he can scream at the top of his lungs and have whatever he wants. If he's finished with something (like playing on the floor, sitting in his car seat, etc) he just screams. I feel bad because sometimes I just want to plug my ears and walk away. But I am trying to figure out a way to teach Thomas early on that screaming at me or at daddy is NOT going to work. But how do you teach that to a 7 month old?? Suggestions are warmly welcomed.

This little boy of mine is learning and growing physically and mentally everyday and I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around that. I mean, he's already wearing 9 month sleepers! Yeah. Crazy. I'm just glad I have photos of him to look back on and remember that at some point in his life, he really was my Little baby!

We sure love this little man of ours!
