9 months on the outside

This is what Tommy and I looked like after 9 months on the inside...

And this is 9 months on the outside! I think he's a lot cuter out here! It's so hard to believe that it's been 9 months already! It really does go by in the blink of an eye.

My baby is becoming so independent! He wants to crawl everywhere (well, he still just drags himself all over the place), he wants to hold and touch everything you have, and he needs to play with every piece of electronic equipment out there. Although, he won't feed himself. 99% of the time he won't eat the food unless you're putting it into his mouth. Unless it's a cracker, he's good at eating those.

Tommy is becoming a pro at pulling himself up on everything. After a few face-first falls, I started to teach to go "on your bum". I would hold his hand and lean him backwards so that he would fall onto his bum and then I would cheer really loud and clap and say "hooray" so that he knew he did it right. After a day or two of doing that with him, I would get him to do it himself. I would let him stand up against something and just repeat "On your bum, Tommy. On your bum" and then he would let go of what he was holding on to and plop down on his butt! Now he even bends his knees and kneels down instead of just falling on his bum.

My little goof-ball always had things in his mouth. His favorite trick is holding something in his mouth while he finds something else to play with, or somewhere else to go. I took him by surprise and snagged this picture!

Tommy still isn't sleeping through the night which can be a little crazy for this momma, but my baby sure does make up for it during the day! It's all thanks to his ear-to-ear grins, his "i'm going to pee my pants" giggles, and his "mommy I love you" cuddles. I have the best baby.

Also, he likes to just chill in places. Like hanging out of his little rocker, or sitting in the bottom of his exersaucer. I actually lost Thomas one day. We were both in the kitchen and I started to cook lunch and I looked down and he wasn't at my feet anymore. No big deal, I just went around the corner to look for him. But, he wasn't there either. Thankfully, I caught a glimpse of the top of his head ducking down in the foot of space between our coffee table and the entertainment stand.

These two are the best of friends. When Dale gets home from school in the evening, Tommy is the first one to grab Dale's attention and they become glued at the hip until it's time for bed. We're both very excited for when Tommy can walk so that Dale can take him out into the backyard and let their imaginations run free.

This is Tommy striking a GQ pose in his new jammies. What a kid!

I am so blessed to wake up every morning and watch my baby learn and grow into a little boy. He's stolen my heart and continues to do so every day. Tommy, never stop smiling! Oh, and quit growing up so fast!!

Just thought I would throw in this little gem. Am I a bad mother for pulling out the camera while he's having a fit and taking a picture of it? We all have our moments... This was one of Tommy's.

I love motherhood!!
