Universal Studios!
There are actually two parks in Universal Studios. Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Dale and I went to Islands of Adventure, mainly because this park had more of the type of rides that Dale wanted to go on. I had never been on a roller-coaster before and so I wasn't going to experience one of these crazy rides as my first time.
For example, this was the first ride that Dale went on in this park. It's the Incredible Hulk. He went on this one more than a few times.
There were lots of 'Heroes' there posing with people!
These two pictures were after the first ride that I went on called Popeye's rapids or something like that. It was a huge circle raft that soaked you! There were also spots all along the ride's track where people could put in a quarter and got to use the spray gun to soak you even more!
After the hero part of the park, we walked into Jurassic Park!
There was a building where you could go into the basement and they had a very cool dinosaur lab and statues. Some of the dinosaur statues had little eye holes that you could look through as you move the head of the dinosaur around.
After Jurassic Park, the scenery instantly changed into older looking buildings with snow and ice on them. Also known as, Hogwarts.
Dale and I experienced our own glass of Butterbeer! It was a little too sweet for me but we did get to keep the mug it was in.
We got to see a cool show of two of the different schools 'compete' for the cup.
Another ride that Dale went on actually went through the castle that they have created. He had the camera with him so these are some pictures on the way to the ride, while waiting in line. They really put detail into making this castle!

This is the candy shop of Hogsmeade. The picture below doesn't really show it's size, but it was big. I caved and got a bag of candy. We were so close to buying a chocolate frog too, but we didn't.
After Hogwarts, we were on our way into the Forgotten Continent park of the park. Now, I had always wanted to have a boy win me a prize at a carnival type game. Well, my boy is a master at balloon darts! He is so good, he won me two prizes in one! Let me introduce you, in order from left to right, to Lion & Monkey! (Clever, right?)
These parks are loaded with birds. Too many people have fed them and so they will come right up to humans and pick around for food.
This 'ride' was more of a tour type show. It was called Poseidon's fury. The outside of it looked so cool!
Now, this is where I had most of my fun! Seriously, the kiddie rides were the best for me. Welcome to Dr. Seuss world! You can probably tell the excitement on my face. When Dale and I were buying our tickets for Islands of Adventure, we also got these Meal Deal passes. We go wristbands that let us go into any of the three participating restaurants, order whatever we wanted, and not pay. We found it very convenient. We could have spent all day eating food if we wanted to.
Sweet action shot of one of the birds looking for food scraps, a foot away from us.
This, my friends, is the merry-go-round of Dr. Seuss world. A.k.a the Caro-Suess-el. I picked the best character. It was so much fun. Go ahead, laugh at me. I enjoyed it.
This was the next ride that I went on. It was this ride that ran on a rail that went all around the Dr. Seuss world. It really was a child's ride, but I didn't mind. Now that we're home I call this ride the "Tour of the food-court" ride. I say that because the ride takes you through one of the restaurants that is built like a circus tent and so you got to see everyone eating and waving.
These pictures are back in the Heroes part of the park. It turns out they were filming a commercial while we were there. That's right, we are in a commercial. We never actually saw the commercial or know if it was legit, but we were there!
Some cool action shots!
This one of Dale's last rides. Dr. Doom's Fear Fall. The bottom picture was what I thought was Dale up in the air on the ride. About three trips of people going up and down, I see this person sitting in the front of the ride waving at me. So, let's just pretend that Dale is in this picture.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, Day Four.
Stay Tuned!
Looks like tons of fun! Lauren and I are super jealous. Ollie would be jealous too, if he could.
