Giving thanks

It's that time of year again where I get to be especially thankful! I find that if I take the challenge and "count my blessings, one by one", I realize how much I really have to be thankful for.

First off, I'm so thankful for my loving husband. On monday, Dale and I will be a whole year old! If this past year is any view into how our family will be in future years to come, then bring on eternity! I love this man so much and for so many reasons. He makes me laugh so hard sometimes, I run to the bathroom. He makes me feel so loved sometimes I want to cry. He respects me, cares for me, and lets me know all the time. He is my best friend, my loving companion, and my better half.

Dale and I visited Pumpkin Hollow this year and got some fun pictures!

Second, I have to mention my thanks for the beautiful colors that surround me this season. The trees seem to transform with their change and make the world so full of beauty! By far my favourite season.

I'm definitly grateful for this wonderful building that we have only 10 minutes for our house. So much peace comes over me when I walk into this yard that I want to shout from the tree tops! The joy and the love that I receive by attending the Temple makes it hard not to go day after day. I know this is Heavenly Father's house. I am so grateful for the constant invitation he gives me to return.

I also couldn't write a Thanksgiving post without mentioning my love for the amazing cooks (this year my mother-in-law) that prepares the food that I get to devour on this holiday. By far is it my favourite meal.

I stole this picture from the internet, but really, how can you not have an appreciation for the people who can serve up such an amazing meal that leaves you bound to the couch! And, the appreciation for the food itself!

I'm super grateful for General Conference! Although I'm writing this blog only after the very first session, I can already tell that it's going to be an amazing weekend for our Church as a whole. I love listening to our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and for all our his councilors and quorums. They truly are men inspired of God.

I would be crazy if I didn't mention my thankfulness for my family! What great people they are! Wherever they range to on the earth, I am so grateful to be a part of their love and support. No matter where we turn we get to be close to them. How cool is that?

I am very, very grateful for my blessings. For the ones that bring my joy, and even for the ones that put me through a rough time. I'm grateful for the amazing marks Dale is getting is school and pray that they'll continue through to Dental school. I'm grateful for my job and for the promotion that came at the perfect time for our family. You can't tell me that it was a coincidence.

So to you all, I say thank-you. I wish you all the happiest Thanksgiving and encourage you all to write down a few of the things that you are thankful for! It really brightens your day and look on life.
