Tommy has grown so much! I know I say that every month, but he really is! He isn't a baby anymore.
Here are some new things that he's discovered:
Tommy no longer sleeps in his bassinet. We put him down for a nap one day and went to check on him and found him sideways in the bassinet, head all sideways against one wall and his bum tucked up against the other side. So long bassinet. He's currently moved to a bed of blankets beside our bed so that we can finalize his room set up and have Dale get the crib together.
Thomas is no longer content to just lay on the floor, couch, or bed. He wants to be held up so he can stand, stomp his feet, and see the world! He loves being held over our heads so that he can look down at us.
In case you wondered, this little boy absolutely loves his daddy. They have these secret little ways of talking to each other that has both Tommy and Dale giggling for hours. Whenever Dale walks into the room Tommy gives him the biggest smile and starts bouncing and flailing until he comes near. I have a feeling Tommy will love the song "I'm so glad when Daddy comes home"!
He's started noticing all his toys. If he's being held up and see's his string of rings beside him on the floor, he'll totally bend in half just to reach out his little arms and grab them!
Thomas has re-discovered his love for blowing spit. He'll buzz his lips until they fell off if we let him! Dale and Tommy will just sit and buzz back and forth to each other to pass the time.
He also loves to be in forts. We have a little bouncy chair from my grandparents and if he starts to get fussy when I can't sit in front of him and entertain him, I'll throw his blankie over the top bar to create his fort and he'll forget that something was the matter and blabber away his worries. It's the only way I can get any chores done around here.
My baby boy loves his toes. As soon as he's on his back, up go the feet! He grabs hold of them and pulls them right into his mouth. He especially loves when I take his legs out of his sleeper to change his diaper because then he has skin to grab on to! He would rather spend all day in only a diaper than put any clothes on. But it's completely adorable, because who doesn't love naked (with a diaper) babies?
This boy loves being on his tummy. Especially now that he can roll from his belly onto his back! We just lay out a blanket on the floor, put him on his tummy and give him some toys and he's happy. And when he gets tired of his belly he just rolls onto his back!
He's getting to be a big boy! He had his shots a few weeks ago and weighed in at 13 lbs 11 oz and just over 2 feet long. Oh, and not to mention, he was a pro when it came to his shots! He only cried when they went in and then was back to normal!
What a cutie pie!!!
